Nevertheless they are way ahead of most ME countries. Also the framework is there to improve, unlike most countries.Rancherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01708918050132953415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12298046.post-26920999412304352542007-04-01T13:05:00.000-06:002007-04-01T13:05:00.000-06:00"The success of Southern Kurdistan, (aka Northern ..."The success of Southern Kurdistan, (aka Northern Iraq), is the great untold story of the Iraq War."

You've got to be kidding me. Iraqi Kurdistan is safe but it is not democratic, it is not prosperous and it is highly corrupt. The region is full of construction projects because they're never completed. Electricity, fuel and even running water are scarce. Officials are highly corrupt and order security forces to beat up protesters and opposition figures. These are great friends for the Americans, indeed. So glad we continue to support democracy.

Reference the burning of Halabja's monument: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4816018.stmAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12298046.post-72592283232329159652007-03-19T05:49:00.000-06:002007-03-19T05:49:00.000-06:00Another great post!Another great post!Rita Locahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09961929692808138092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12298046.post-90633690047347072932007-03-18T07:13:00.000-06:002007-03-18T07:13:00.000-06:00Rancher,I forgot about this when we were discussin...Rancher,
I forgot about this when we were discussing it, but you may be interested in reading, Why the Jews? To report any success in any part of Iraq must go against their policy. BDS is stronger than truth to the Left.

I hope we continue to support the Kurds against Al-Queada, Syria, Iran, and our (ahem) ally, Turkey. It will be a good site to keep tabs on Iran and Syria. The only problem, Iraqi Kurdistan is landlocked.John D Infidelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14755976880020872903noreply@blogger.com
