The Other Iraq

When I mentioned the state of affairs in Southern Kurdistan to my liberal nephew he flat out laughed in my face. He could not or would not believe that any area of Iraq could be safe enough to vacation in. Of course the violence is largely concentrated in the Sunni triangle but nowhere is safer than northern Iraq, known to the locals as Southern Kurdistan.
